In western North Carolina, nestled in the foothills of the Blue Ridge mountains is pristine Lake James. It has been a place to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city. People for generations have been beating the heat, lakeside. With 150 miles of shoreline and over 6,812 acres to explore, there is no end of possibilities on the lake. Lake James state park which features family-friendly trails hugs the shoreline just two miles away from our front door.

 

BYOB (bring your own boat), or rent a pontoon, or SUP boards, or take our complimentary canoe out for a paddle to explore the natural beauty of the lake. Sun salutations on the dock as the sun rise over the lake? Coves and rugged mountains are just a backdrop for your memory-making vacation to this off the beaten path hideaway.

 

 

Our home is only one of a handful that allows you to bring your four-legged furry members of the family. We have dogs, we get it. Well behaved pooches are welcome. We have an X-large kennel for when you are out and leaving them behind. We have treats, bowls and even a sandy beach for them to dip their paws.
